Lisa's white strapless sateen-tulle Stewart Parvin gown was accentuated by a chocolate-brown bow; Brett wore a classic Armani tuxedo and black bow tie.

Natural beauty brings one couple together on their big day

Lisa Bartlett always dreamed of a wedding "out in the fresh air." So choosing to marry fiancé Brett Mitchell on his aunt and uncle's 1,000-acre Sherman, CT, property was, well, natural. "It's the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding," says Lisa of the woodsy paradise, which boasts a lake, forest, waterfall and several ponds—not to mention a rich family history. Brett visited the estate throughout his childhood, and 25 years before his wedding, his aunt and uncle tied the knot there, too. For the NYC couple, marrying at such a special place was also a celebration of their strong sense of family.
