Modern meets traditional in this colorful and creative Jewish wedding

Yael and Bryan wanted their September urban wedding to incorporate traditional Jewish elements with personalized twists. The affair displayed the couple's love of modern architecture and design as well as art, tropical flowers and travel. A bright color scheme of turquoise and lime-green added a jolt of energy and liveliness to the reception.

Bryan and Yael met at a James Bond–themed party at Stanford University—just days before Yael’s graduation and scheduled move to Israel. “Bryan decided to buy a ticket out there on a whim one day, prompting several more visits back and forth,” says Yael. One year later, she decided to move back to the Bay Area, and the couple has been together ever since.
