Amy and Eugene in Pebble Beach, CA

A lush, wooded golf course makes for an elegant reception site

After the wedding cake was cut, Amy surprised Eugene with a chocolate peanut-butter groom's cake bearing the insignia of Stanford University (the bride and groom's alma mater). As the DJ played the university's song, fellow alumni were invited to join the bride and groom on the dance floor.

For many couples, golf breaks, not makes a marriage. But for Amy and Eugene, a September wedding in the golf mecca of Pebble Beach, CA, was par for the course. "Everyone in Eugene's family golfs," says Amy, a Louisiana native, "so it made sense to get married there."

After a ceremony at the Church in the Forest, where guests were handed envelopes of rose petals with "Throw Me" written on them, the couple and their 130 guests celebrated with a reception at the nearby Pebble Beach Resort.
