Eric and Amita dated long-distance—traveling between Boston and New York—for more than two years before Eric proposed. As for the event's style, "I wanted an Indian wedding, and Eric loves Bollywood movies," Amita explains.
For the ceremony, she wore a jeweled lehenga (bridal dress) and Eric wore a sherwani (long coat and pants), both designed by Amita's sister in collaboration with Om the Origin.
