An Estate Wedding

Estate Planning

Once upon a time, a wealthy financier commissioned his dream house: a palace inspired by French valley châteaus and proper English gardens, with endless corridors and 126 rooms. This wedding captures the splendor of the mansion, which was completed in the early 1900s for aristocrat Otto Hermann Kahn (hence the abbreviated version, Oheka). With placid pools and a central fountain, the formal garden needs little embellishment—rose petals to mark the aisle, ending with a pair of potted topiaries. Location, Oheka Castle, Huntington, New York; 613-692-2707; flowers, Christopher Bassett; 646-285-7140.
