Make like a celeb and rock a cool, fresh take on the classic updo down the aisle.
Celebrity hairstyles are always a hot topic. From chic new cropped cuts like the oh-so-current blunt bob to any and every rendition of the beloved braid, Hollywood's finest are always the first to try new tress trends. Which is why they're the best avenue for some serious wedding day hair-spiration.
One new A-list iteration of an oldie but a goodie bridal look? The updo. It's probably the most classic wedding hairstyle ever, and these days, our favorite stars are rocking pulled back locks a lot. These twisted, pinned, and tucked styles, though, aren't the chignon you think you know or the curled bun with ringlets falling out of it. Think faux-shaved on one side with punky waves free-flowing from the other, a dozen or so braids twisting into a beautiful mess, or a very low-and-loose, wrapped bun.
From Sarah Hyland's high-pulled bun, with the slightest sign of locks falling free, to Emma Stone's low-lying twists, and Taylor Schilling's softly tausled side-bang look, there's plenty of new updos for every type of bride. Boho girls will love Kerry Washington's three-dimensional, thick fishtail braid, with a mini braid below the hair tie, and twists on each side up top. While more modern brides will fall for Emma Watson's wide-set 'do at Paris Fashion Week: With a middle part up top, and U-shaped bun below, this is a look that's both elegant and edgy.
