Hairstylists and makeup artists discuss the celebrity styles that brides are requesting for their wedding day, and how they tweak those (sometimes insanely over-the-top) looks for a "real world" wedding.
"The low side-chignon Michelle chose for the 2006 Oscars is still one of my most-requested hairstyles," says Chicago hairstylist Morgan Baul. "It's great for a bride who wants to look put-together but not overdone. I start by curling clean, dry hair with rollers; once it's cool, I comb the curls and apply styling cream. If the hair's very fine, I'll use a spray wax for volume and texture. Then I pin the hair in place with bobby pins and finish with hairspray."
