The girls behind Green Wedding Shoes, Ruffled, Brooklyn Bride, and 100 Layer Cake share which new gowns they love most and why.
There was an abundance of gorgeous gowns sent down the runways during Spring 2015 Bridal Fashion week. From new trends (like tulle overskirts, capes, colored dresses, and off-the-shoulder necklines) to classic silhouettes and fabrics, this season was nothing short of stunning.
Since we already shared our personal favorite looks (Whitney Port did, too!) from the new collections, we wanted to find out what other industry-insiders thought of the latest wedding dress styles. So, we asked some of our favorite wedding bloggers including Green Wedding Shoes, Ruffled, Brooklyn Bride, and 100 Layer Cake to share their top picks.
First up is Jen Campbell, the powerhouse behind Green Wedding Shoes. With a blog devoted to helping couples customize their big day, it's no surprise that Jen's picks are super unique. From romantic long sleeves to glamorous beaded sheaths, Jen found a dress that will suit every type of bride.
Amanda Nistor, editor and founder of Ruffled, has a love of all things vintage. When we asked her to select her favorite gowns, we expected nothing short of utter romance — and we weren't let down! Expect lots of tulle and ruffles from her choices.
Next, we recruit Vané Broussard of Brooklyn Bride. The interior designer-turned-bridal-blogger focuses specifically on the modern wedding. Naturally, her favorite wedding dresses — mainly comprised of sleek sheaths — reflect her vibe.
Finally, we asked the three creative minds behind 100 Layer Cake to dish their fashionable thoughts. Jillian Clark, Amanda Dawbarn, and Kristina Meltzer, spotlighted a range of looks, from ultra-romantic to modern and glamorous.
