Everything you need to know about what—and who—you should bring wedding gown-shopping.
There's a lot more to wedding dress shopping than showing up to your appointment on time. You'll need to come equipped with ideas, the right undergarments, and of course, a few of your closest, most supportive friends and family.
Besides the essentials, David's Bridal Fashion Director (and wedding dress shopping guru) Catalina Maddox-Wagers says the most important thing to bring to your appointment is an optimistic attitude. "Brides do need to do a lot of research," Maddox-Wagers says. "But above all, they need to be open-minded."
"I've seen it over and over again—a bride comes in and imagines herself in an incredibly tight mermaid gown, and then she tries it on and is tremendously disappointed," Maddox-Wagers says. "If you're working with a really good, experienced consultant, you could come in with one look in mind and leave with something completely different."
