Miles of red carpet stretch between the Oscars in February and the Emmys in September—and this summer, A-listers lined the step-and-repeat wearing one of the season's top trends: brilliantly glamorous, wedding-worthy gowns. In anticipation of this year's award season, we took a look back at the celebrity looks that had the most bridal potential.
The Women in White
The most obvious bridal equivalents on the summer red carpets were, of course, floor-length white gowns. One would be so lucky as to wear a Versace number down the aisle, like the design Uma Thurman wore at the Cannes Film Festival in May. She paired the feather-festooned gown with emerald cascade earrings and a matching bracelet, both by Chopard.
