Nail guru Deborah Lippmann shows you how to let your bouquet guide your wedding-day manicure.

Burgundy & Deep-Red Blooms
There's nothing like a deep-red nail, Lippmann says (shown here: Essie Wicked). It's a strong statement, like this bouquet. Cuticles must be really well-groomed, and color applied with near-surgical precision for the best effect. Brownish-reds are great for olive and yellow skin tones; bluer reds suit paler, pinker types.

Good to know: The deeper the color, the shorter the nail, so if you love your length, go with sheer pink, cream, or champagne. 18-karat white-gold, diamond (0.58-carat), and pink tourmaline ring, $7,800, by Diana Heimann
