Designer or drugstore?
Designer products don’t necessarily deliver better results, especially when it comes to mascara, lip gloss, makeup brushes, loose powder, bronzer, and eye shadow. Drugstore brands like Maybelline, L’Oreal and Revlon can be just as good and will save you a bundle.
Visit the salon
Go to your makeup artist's salon instead of having him or her come to you on your wedding day. Some charge their all-day rate even if they only spend an hour or two with you.
Do it yourself
Prior to your big day, seek out helpful how-to tips from a pro. Then, practice applying your makeup at home so you’ll master it on your wedding day.
Half and half
Ask your bridesmaids to apply their own foundation and blush, but hire a makeup artist to apply their eye makeup and lipstick. They'll get a polished look for less.
Bronzed beauty
Apply a self-tanning product at home instead of going to the salon for a spray-on tan. Just be sure to use smooth, even strokes to avoid blotches.
