Monique Lhuillier showed her Spring 2017 Bridal collection at famed macaroon palace Ladurée, and the results couldn't have been sweeter! "The collection is inspired by a woman running through a garden, capturing the feeling of being madly in love and someone who feels pure bliss," said the designer's show notes. Sounds like a pretty accurate description of a bride on the eve of her wedding day!
The wedding dresses seen at Monique Lhuillier's Spring 2017 Bridal Fashion Week show celebrated romance and femininity according to the designer's show notes. Opening the show was a breathtaking asymmetrical layered tulle ball gown embroidered with delicate white and fuchsia flower petals.
There were light and airy confections aplenty, as is to be expected of a Monique Lhuillier wedding gown, but modern silhouettes also made a statement in this beautiful collection.
High-low hemlines were another highlight of the wedding dress collection — seen in flowing layers of tulle topped with lace embroidery, and cinched at the waist for an ultra-feminine feel.
Deep plunging necklines were also standouts throughout the collection, giving these dreamy wedding dresses a hint of sexy appeal in the most elegant way possible. A particularly gorgeous sweetheart neckline strapless jumpsuit was topped off with a detachable whisper of tulle skirt (another strong detail of some dresses in this collection), perfect for an upscale city bride!
Monique Lhuillier also showed styles from the brand's footwear collection featuring block-heel lucite sandals and ornate floral caged heels — perfectly paired with the collection's standout high-low dresses. Call off the wedding shoe search, these are perfect for every bride!
