While Hollywood A-listers like Kendall Jenner, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga wear Alon Livné's gorgeous gowns strutting down the red carpet, beautiful brides are wearing them walking down the aisle — and looking just as, if not more, cover worthy. From the paparazzi's flashing bulbs to those of wedding photographers, Alon Livné's couture creations are always picture-perfect and the designer's Spring 2017 wedding dress collection certainly doesn't disappoint, offering up exquisite embroidery, unmatched handwork, and elegant luxury.
Last season, we caught up with the talented couturier himself, where he talked about what he loved most about designing for brides. "My favorite part of designing bridal is looking for fabrics and embroidery," explained Livné. "I find that being able to touch the fabrics and discover new materials in the beginning brings me so much value to production later on. The hunt for special details, pearls, crystals, and embroidery, excites the entire process and gives me a long lasting enthusiasm throughout the design process. My heart always races for French lace. It is so delicate yet so versatile. I love adding my own touch of fine beads and pearls to accent different pieces. It's a classic fabric that always seems to win the heart of so many brides."
Livné's honest-to-goodness excitement for the design process definitely shows in his latest collection of fabulous frocks and their refined sultry silhouettes. Gowns that hang close to feminine curves are seen throughout the luxe line and that subtle-sexiness is played up with sheer illusion panels that show off peek-a-boo bits of skin. Intricate and expertly-constructed Baroque embroidered tendrils climb up bodices and the beautiful beadwork decorating the luxurious fabrics is unconventionally chic. The result? A rich and romantic collection toting a soft, feminine sensuality. "I do," indeed!
