Wedding Cake with Multicolor Piping

Brown Sugar

An unlikely trio—Russian folk art, irises, and her grandmother’s painted metal TV-dinner trays—inspired Dianne Holgate. Fondant cake with piped beads, fleurs-de-lis, stringwork, and brush-embroidered irises and forget-me-nots, $7.50 per slice, Cakes by Dee-sign, Farmington, NM; 505-325-5609.
