To complement the bride's earthy-yet-sophisticated wedding aesthetic, Sonja McLean of Sweet and Swanky Cakes made this rustic-looking cake, which took more than 80 hours to create. Chocolate ganache was applied to the tiers to achieve a wood grain effect, while the ruffles added a romantic touch. The entire cake was covered in peonies, ripe blackberries, twigs, and hypericum berries, all sculpted from fondant and sugar.
