A: First, put a cap on the original pattern, reducing the number of place settings you request to, perhaps, four or six. Then add the new pattern to your list. Once the wedding is over, you may decide you can use the first pattern for luncheons, buffets and backups at large gatherings. If not, return them and replace them with dishes in the new pattern.
