A: You don't, but you can enlist your network of attendants, friends and family to tell guests via word of mouth about your preference, if and when they're asked. In any case, some people will still want to mark the occasion with an actual gift, so registering for at least a few items—like upgrades of items you already have, or new linens—is a good idea.
