Q: We're getting married in the Caribbean. Is it rude not to see our guests after the big day?

A: It's likely that many of your loved ones will stay on, but whether you spend time with them or go into postnuptial seclusion is your decision entirely. Patti Metzger of Weddings on the Move says most of her clients party with their guests for a few days before the wedding, then honeymoon as a duo someplace else. But since you'll already be in paradise, that doesn't have to mean making a great escape. In Jamaica, for example, just-marrieds often take advantage of the free ground transfers between Couples Negriland Couples Ocho Rios by checking out of one and into the other. (SuperClubs and Sandals properties offer similar deals.) Or, for a really short commute, you could simply move down the beach and into a posh private villa built for two.
