About Me
I'm a writer and my fiance, Chris, is interested in the computer field. We're the kind of people who would usually prefer to stay home and watch a funny movie. I'm about to graduate college with a BA in English (the month before our wedding!) and after that I hope to be an editor of a literary magazine or a publishing company. Chris and I were best friends for over a year before we started dating. We moved in together, expecting another one of our friends to join us, but ended up falling in love and enjoying the arrangement. We have two cats, sisters, who are joys to our lives.
We're going for an old-world, vintage, Victorian feel while playing 60's and 70's rock at the reception. My dress has some Victorian elements to it, and my fiance wants a suit with a long jacket and a fedora. Our invitations are scrolls and our favors are mis-matched picture frames. So, we're kind of like putting our own spin on times gone past, I guess. We're doing things "traditionally" but changing a small element of each. Like, I will have a throwing bouquet, but it will break apart so that when I throw it everybody gets a flower.
