They say when you find your soulmate, it's pure magic. One fantasy-loving couple decided to bring that sentiment to life at their wedding by getting an actual unicorn (or, you know, as close to an actual unicorn as you can come) to help celebrate their fated union. Jody and Frank said "I do" in Manakin-Sabot, Virginia, at an outdoor venue that was perfectly suited to their glorious unicorn petting zoo.
According to The Knot, the couple, with help from Kim Moody Design, employed an adorable miniature white horse as their unicorn. They outfitted the horse with a blue-and-pink sparkly mane, a gold unicorn horn, and a bright pink leash. The unicorn even had its own pen in which to graze while the guests were busy partying.
"Confession: We have an affinity for all things that sparkle, especially unicorns!" wrote Kim Moody Design on Instagram.
And Kim Moody Design didn't stop there—plenty of other fantastical elements filled out Jody and Frank's big day. From dangling flower installations to aerial performers to lawn games, guests were treated to a truly magical affair. The bride wore a beaded white mermaid-style wedding gown, and the groom opted for a light gray suit. And even though the wedding is already over, we would like to belatedly recommend the unicorn croquembouche wedding cake to Jody and Frank, an impressive delicacy created at London-based artisanal patisserie Anges de Sucre.
Depressed that you couldn't meet the IRL unicorn at this wedding yourself? At least you can still sample any of the zillion unicorn-themed treats that have popped up in the past year. Mac Lab Bakery in Duluth, Georgia, makes the prettiest unicorn macarons ever; Delish invented an amazing no-bake unicorn cheesecake; Anaheim, California-based dessert parlor Crème and Sugar is brewing delicious unicorn hot chocolate; and people all over Instagram are 'gramming unicorn toast on the daily.
