The traditional 10th anniversary gift is tin or aluminum, but don't tell one Georgia husband that. In honor of the milestone anniversary (which also marks nearly 30 years that the couple has known each other), Steven wanted to surprise his wife Kelli with an evening she would never forget.
Initially Kelli thinks she's just joining her husband for a special dinner, but when her car stops in the middle of the road and she's blindfolded, she quickly asks the camera operator, "Is this going to go viral?" She unsuspectingly drives past crowds of people and a full marching band before arriving home and being greeted by her husband.
"You told me when it comes to love, actions speak louder than words, so I wanted to show by my actions how much I love you," Steven tells his Kelli, who, by this point, is already in tears!
The local high school marching band and choir then perform for the astounded wife as her two young daughters walk towards her holding a sign that reads, "Will you marry me... again?" The family of four then walks down their driveway to a portable chuppah where Steven and Kelli renewed their vows in the middle of their street, surrounded by what appears to be hundreds of friends and family.
After the emotional renewal, the entire crowd headed to the backyard for a joyous reception, complete with a food truck, DJ, and s'mores.
So how did Steven pull off the fete? He explains the idea came to him just after their ninth wedding anniversary. He then spent two months planning and then another 10 months executing his ideas.
