On tonight’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, fans finally get a glimpse into Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz's ceremony as they walk down the aisle and become man and wife. If you’ve tuned into the series, we’re sure you thought the couple wouldn’t make it to their wedding day—lots and lots of fighting was involved—but they made it!
Ahead of the premiere, Maloney is finally opening up on the details of her $15,000 dress—yes, you read that correctly. The reality star purchased the gown after a visit to Kleinfeld, the same bridal store featured on Say Yes to the Dress. Joining her were family and bridesmaids Stassi Schroeder and Kristin Doute. It wasn’t long before Maloney fell completely head over heels for a Zuhair Murad long-sleeved, lace-designed gown.
“The minute I put it on there were goosebumps all over,” Maloney recalled to People. “I thought, ‘This is it. This is the dress I’m going to marry Tom in.’ You just know. I had such a visceral reaction it was awesome.”
“The lace and the detail was so perfect,” she continued. “It felt like it was vintage, unique and special.”
As far as her bridal beauty, Maloney decided to keep it simple for makeup and opted for an updo hairstyle, which she knew Schwartz would love. “Tom likes my hair up so I wanted to wear my hair up and have it loose and ethereal so it would match with the vibe of the dress and the vibe of the wedding.”
Although she has no regrets about the special day, she advised future brides-to-be to give themselves ample time for planning before walking down the aisle, noting that she rushed the process because the date was available at her venue. "I don't recommend planning a wedding in 12 weeks," she confessed.
The couple married mid-August in front of nearly 100 guests at the Twenty Mile House in Northern California.
