Well, we know what kind of wedding shoes she'll wear! Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon announced her engagement to talent agent and CAA co-founder Michael Ovitz in an interview with HELLO! magazine today.
"In December, he surprised me with a beautiful ring," Mellon told the magazine. "It wasn't entirely out of the blue because he kept saying, 'I've got something really important for you.' He first asked me to move in with him over a year ago, then I suppose he wanted to show his commitment."
She's not kidding about that "beautiful ring" part. Though she only just made their betrothal public, she posted a tantalizing peek at the enormous bauble on her Instagram account a few weeks ago (see below). From the looks of it, it's a cushion-cut solitaire on a platinum band — stylish and timeless, just like her footwear.
The woman responsible for some of the most popular wedding heels now has a lot to look forward to. Not only is she set to marry her love of four years, she also has plans to move into a new place that she and her fiancé will build from the ground up.
"It's a long-term project — we're going to knock the whole building down and start again," she said. "We're really excited to have a project to work on together."
The couple that constructs together, stays together? We have a feeling that's the case with these two! "Michael is very supportive and a great sounding board," she also told HELLO! "He is so honest and very straight up — you don't get anything wishy washy with him, although he's no good at small talk."
