Summer is practically synonymous with wedding season, and whether you're putting the final touches on your upcoming nuptials or newly engaged and gathering ideas for your future big day, watching a real couple's seasonal "I dos" is a great way to prep for your party. Each week we've been spotlighting one of the sweetest new love stories featured on our real weddings video channel, and this week your inspiration comes courtesy of Nicole and Ted's summer wedding New York City.
The adorable duo invited guests to join them at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on July 25, 2014 for a fun-filled party bursting with the hallmarks of summer and asked Tweed Weddings to capture every element of their special day. Although it's an indoor bash, there's no shortage of fun summer inspiration. For starters, check out the bride's getting ready attire. Rather than the traditional white or floral robe, Nicole gets glammed up wearing a punchy pink number.

After a walk through the sunny city streets, the couple shares their first look in New York City's iconic Central Park. Then the pair heads to their venue to wed beneath a floral-covered chuppah. The cascading white blooms scream of summer style and, as the sun sets behind the couple during their vows, the entire room is illuminated in a romantic glow.
Once the reception starts, Nicole and Ted amp up the summer style by serving BBQ favorites like mini sliders and fruity drinks during cocktail hour. We love how the bridesmaids finish their looks with baby's breath flower crowns for the party for an extra dose of summer style.
