Dreamy Silk Slips
To all the simplistic dreamers who want to look as airy and blissful as you feel, this one's for you. The best way to take this idea from boudoir to banquet is structure; it can be with ruching or bodice detailing or simply seaming at the waist or bust. Either way, this trend was meant for such an occasion.

Shoulders Back, Fashion Forward
Honestly, this trend is exactly what grandmothers, with their posture-obsessed ways, have been trying to prep us for since the beginning of time. The greatest aspect of the off-the-shoulder look is there's something for everyone on either side of the style spectrum and everywhere in between. Boho gals, look for drop waists, gathered sleeves and flowy skirts. Modern brides, heavier fabrics and structured silhouettes will be your go-to. And for all the post-modern style mavens: b-line for the dresses with laser-cut, bold appliqués or fold and wrap designs. So, shoulders back; chin up, wipe those happy tears because you are going to look absolutely stunning baring those elegant shoulders and collar bones!

This is going to sound scarier than it is, but... ruffles! However, we promise this season's take on the (often over the top) 80s favorite has turned completely chic and entirely lust-worthy. Think more a mix between West Side Story and old Hollywood flamenco style glam. If you favor the free spirit look, cascading ruffles, either tight and plentiful on a more skin baring dress, or few and loose with a smooth silhouette, are especially glamorous here.

The Angelina a.k.a. the High-Slit
Oh Oscars, how could we ever forget Mrs. Jolie-Pitt's major Versace slit-to-there moment? We can't, and don't want to, quite frankly, because she killed it, and with so much grace. So when we started seeing the same sexy, sophisticated looks strutting down almost every runway, we couldn't help but envision an elevated version on a bride! For your big day, search for dresses with clean lines in relatively lighter fabrics and you'll be a sublime vision.

We couldn't keep our eyes off the awe-inspiring abundance of sequins, appliqués and embroideries. Some gowns were entirely adorned from neckline to hem, while others were perfectly trimmed with a little here and a splash there.

Asymmetry for the Ages
Contemporary queens rejoice, your love of architecture and all things modern design can be found even in your most important dress choice. Play with off-kilter forms, asymmetrical cut-outs, and envelope folds on your straps, waist or hemline. The features on these frocks are innovative yet beautiful, and easy to wear.

Spotlights are for standing in, and that's exactly what you will be doing in a modern silver gown. We recommend one that has a slinkier drape to it, since the color will do most of the talking. However, the ways to approach such a shade are plentiful, whether it's a cool chrome that's drawing you in or a pearly sheen calling your name, all tinges of silver will definitely hit the mark on your big day.
