*We wouldn't suggest running a half marathon on the day of your wedding, but our experts say that sneaking in a quick workout is probably your best bet to starting the day stress-free and smiling. *
On the day of your wedding, we tend to think it's a good idea to keep your morning-of routine as close to normal as possible, so if you typically start the day with a workout, then get up and get moving. This is not the day to attempt to shave off a few minutes from a 10K, so keep it light and don't push yourself to the limit. Just get a good, heart-pumping sweat to clear your head and ease those pre-wedding jitters.
If exercise really isn't in your wheelhouse, don't sweat it. Depending on the time frame of the day, you may find yourself with a slow-moving morning. While laying in bed with coffee sounds ideal, we can almost guarantee your mind will be buzzing at such a fast rate that relaxing will be pretty much out of the question. So before you reach for a mimosa, grab your best friend and go for a walk outside. Talking about the stressful items wreaking havoc on your brain while breathing in some fresh air will help calm your nerves and clear your mind. If there's not nearly enough time for a quick walk before you need to be seated in the hair and makeup chair, just take 10 minutes to run through a few yoga salutations or the old stretching routine of your high school gym class days. Even that small amount of movement will give you the energy and peace of mind to tackle the day ahead and enjoy every moment.
