Of course it was wonderful when he proposed, but some men go all out to make their bride-to-be happy for no particular reason at all! Here three brides share the most romantic thing their fiancé did for them.
The Guy Who Shopped 'Till He Dropped
"Rick hates shopping so I thought it was incredibly sweet when he volunteered to spend the day with me at the mall," Sarah says. "He went off on his own at one point, saying as long as he was at the mall, he might as well pick up some clothes and shoes for himself." When the couple met up again to go to dinner Rick apologized, "I intended to get you something you'd love but I couldn't find anything that spoke to me." Sarah assured him it was enough of a present that he'd accompanied her shopping. At the restaurant, before their dinner arrived Rick admitted: "I did find something beautiful," reaching into a shopping bag and pulling out a box. Inside was a gorgeous silver choker. "He knows how much I love surprises. But what made it even better was the joy he took in doing something special for me. It just reaffirmed what a great guy I'm marrying," Sarah says.
The Guy Who Drove Through the Night
During their engagement, Tiffany and her now-husband lived six hours apart. "One day at work my fiancé told me to go outside the building because he was sending me flowers and the delivery man couldn't find the right entrance," she says. "I got outside only to find my fiancé standing outside with his arms wide open." He'd surprised Tiffany by driving through the night to surprise her by coming home for the weekend.
The Guy Who Bought a House
"The Christmas before we got married he gave me blueprints for the house we would buy," Ann says. "The blueprints were all his hopes and dreams for our future." They got married four months later. "I thought with that gift he was the king of romance," Ann confesses, adding, "Then the next year his Christmas gift was a navy blue umbrella!"
