Anna and Chris met in Chicago in 2007—they were teammates on a coed softball team, and the couple became engaged in the fall of 2009. "Chris slipped a ring on my finger while I was sleeping," says Anna. "When I woke up, he was on one knee, asking me to check my finger." For their wedding day, she chose a silk organza gown with a sequined bow by Cymbeline, purchased at the salon in New York City. "It was the first dress that felt like 'me,'" Anna says. She made her hair accessory using netting and a vintage pin. Following the ceremony, cocktail hour was held in the nineteenth-century fieldstone barn. Guests enjoyed bluegrass music by Noggin Hill and sipped spiked Arnold Palmers—the couple's signature cocktail—in old-fashioned mason jars.
