Pastry chef Sophie Bifield started with cake tiers covered in pale-lavender fondant, then fashioned gumpaste ruffles in varying shades of purple. The finishing touch? Pearls and silver dragées, each affixed by hand, to give the confection a touch of glitz and glamour.
