One of our favorite twin brothers is officially engaged! Drew Scott, best known for his role on the HGTV show Property Brothers, recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend Linda Phan.
The HGTV heartthrob popped the question at the Toronto restaurant Piano Piano, PEOPLE confirmed. Apparently Scott has been planning this elaborate proposal for weeks, and did everything he could to keep his now fiancée from figuring out his life-changing surprise.
"I've had to be stealthy as a ninja to pull this off," he told the celebrity news site.
The twin of Jonathan Scott, whom he works with on the popular house flipping show, admitted he'd been carrying the diamond engagement ring around with him for a while before finally popping the question on December 13.
And just wait until you hear the plan he came up with. You'll totally melt! According to PEOPLE, Scott "snuck off to New York City to record his own version of the Train song 'Marry Me.'" Then, when the night came, the restaurant began to play his rendition of the tune before carrying out a cake that was decorated with illustrations from one of Phan's favorite stories, Dr. Seuss's Oh the Places You'll Go. But instead of using the book's original title, Scott changed it to something a little more romantic: "Oh the Places We'll Go."
"I've never met another woman like her and once you do, you want to be with her forever," he (adorably) told the site. After Phan happily accepted his proposal, the pair headed to a surprise engagement party that included both fiancés' parents and the Scott siblings, Jonathan and J.D.
The Property Brothers star met Phan back in 2010 at a Toronto Fashion Week event, and the couple has been dating for six years since. What's even cuter is the fact that his new fiancé serves as the Creative Director for Scott Brothers Entertainment, focusing on building his and Jonathan's media company through marketing campaigns and exciting digital content.
Now, we know Drew excels at home projects, but how will he do being a part-time wedding planner? We can't wait to find out.
