We've always thought that Prince William is the ultimate gentleman, but now, we have actual proof that he's just as much a prince because of his romantic gestures as he is because of his royal title. When awarding an Order of the British empire — an honor bestowed by the palace to people who make extraordinary contributions in their field — to British florist Paula Pryke, Wills admitted that he loves to gift his wife flowers.
"He told me that he liked buying flowers for Kate and how much she loved flowers," Pryke told People of the ceremony.
Pryke has worked with a good number of celebrities and the royal family during her 30-year career as one of Britain's premiere florists. The whole meeting, she unsuprisingly described as "very exciting."
What's even more exciting is to hear first-hand what a romantic William is to his Duchess! And, apparently, how defensive he is of his Mrs.
British Comedian Jack Whitehall recalled a recent incident when he tried to flirt with Kate Middleton on The Jonathan Ross Show (airing this Saturday). According to <E! News, it all started when he jokingly suggested that American pop star Demi Lovato cop a feel of Kate's burgeoning baby bump at a lineup at the Royal Variety Performance.
Not understanding his sense of humor, Lovato nearly did reach to touch it. After that, though, Whitehall describes that he has had a crush on the Duchess of Cambridge since they attended Marlborough College together, and continued to put on the moves when she appeared in front of him.
"I referred to her as 'The one that got away,' and then I flirted a little because I said that she was one of my first crushes at school," he said on the show. "Then in the lineup Prince William came over and he was very funny, he was very nice but very passive aggressive. 'Oh, so you were flirting with my missus?'"
Be still, our hearts! The Prince is just as chivalrous as he is a strong. Looks like you've got yourself a winner, Kate!
