Just when we didn't think we could adore John Legend and Chrissy Teigen more, the pair impresses us with just how normal they are. While their official post-Oscar plans remain up in the air, E! News is buzzing that the singer-model duo might grab a bite to eat at a fast food restaurant after the show.
After all, just weeks ago — hours after Kanye West performed at DirecTV's pre-Super Bowl XLIX party in Arizona — Legend and Teigen joined West and wife Kim Kardashian for a meal at none other than Waffle House. Legend donned a suit to the casual diner, while Teigen wore a shimmering, embellished gown and metallic heels. And according to Legend, whose song "Glory" for Selma is nominated for Best Original Song tonight, that's not out of the norm.
"We don't mind getting a little fast food or a little chain restaurant every once in awhile," Legend recently told E! News. "That was like a normal night out for us at the Waffle House."
At tonight's 87th Annual Academy Awards, the singer is expected to join Common onstage to sing "Glory." The movie, which chronicles the life of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., is up for Best Picture.
Legend told E! News as late as Saturday evening that he hadn't decided what he'd wear down the red carpet, nor had his wife. Two weeks ago, the couple walked the 57th Annual Grammy Awards' red carpet in a grey tuxedo, sans tie, and a floor-length, cut-out white gown, respectively. Whatever they choose for this evening, we can't wait to see it!
