Nicky Hilton tied the knot Friday in a celebration fit for a princess — the wedding was held at Kensington Palace, after all! And we've got the scoop on everything from her celebrity-strewn guest list to a veil mishap that could have ruined her custom bridal ensemble but didn't.
You've already seen Hilton's jaw-droppingly gorgeous $75,000 Maison Valentino gown, which featured an illusion high neck and layers of laser-cut floral lace. But beneath that flowing skirt, the bride paired white pumps with the couple's initials, wedding date, and her new moniker, Mrs. Rothschild, embellished on the heels and shown in this Instagram image. So sweet!
As she walked from a Bentley toward Kensington Palace's Orangery, where she would exchange vows with Rothschild, Hilton's veil — even longer than her cathedral-length dress — was pinned beneath the black car's wheel. Luckily, her father, Rick Hilton, came to the rescue, according to People, and spared the lace.
According to E! News, the couple wed in a non-denominational ceremony, in front of a white wall of flowers where years before Prince William and Kate Middleton also tied the knot. By their side was Paris Hilton, who served as maid-of-honor in a periwinkle floor-length chiffon dress by designer Dennis Basso, who also crafted the other bridesmaids' attire. Their ensembles perfectly matched mother-of-the-bride Kathy Hilton's pale blue gown, which featured floweret embroidered details along the hemline.
Additional celebrity guests included brother Barron Hilton, former first child Chelsea Clinton, Rich Kids of Beverly Hills star Dorothy Wang, Alice Rothschild and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kim and Kyle Richards. According to E! News, Paris Hilton also brought boyfriend Thomas Gross to the nuptials.
Photos of the couple's reception tablescapes show pale pink and ivory roses held in mercury glass vases and flanked by flickering tea candles. Ivory calligraphy place cards and napkins wrapped in silver silk accented with roses also decorated the table tops. The menu included a starter of crab and lobster Louis with spiced tomato and horseradish dressing, according to People.
Many of the couple's celebrity guests, including Paris and Kathy Hilton, offered up wedding toasts, according to E! News. And Kim Richards' daughter, Whitney, reportedly sang "Lean On Me" to the newlyweds.
According to E! News, the couple was quite joyful, as Rothschild "gushed about how grateful he was to have met her [Nicky]" and called the bride the "love of his life."
