The news that country stars Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton married over the weekend should probably come with a guitar strum and a twangy high note—but we promise you don't want to hear us sing. Known to many as the king and queen of country (although you have to wonder how Faith Hill and Tim McGraw feel about that...), Shelton and Lambert wed Saturday at the Don Strange Ranch in Boerne, Texas in front of 550 guests. Us reports that Lambert wore her mother's dress, although it's unclear if she reinterpreted the look in any way. Perhaps the vintage style included lace sleeves? We can only hope.
Among the many attendees for the evening were fellow celebs Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, and Charles Kelly. Clarkson for one took to Facebook post-wedding to share her excitement for the couple, writing, "So I went to Miranda and Blake Shelton's wedding last night and it was the greatest wedding/reception I've ever been to! I feel as though they should renew their vows every year and throw a party as well because everything about it was awesome!" Clearly, she should make friends with Heidi Klum and Seal. —Phillip B.
