Kate Moss is engaged, and rumor has it that the diminutive supermodel plans to design her own dress—a task she's not unfamiliar with, having designed her own line for Topshop. But with so many fashion tricks in her bag, what will trendsetting Kate come up with for her wedding day? Here's what we're predicting:
Kate will put her own spin on current bridal fashion trends, gravitating toward the recent collections of perennial trendsetter Vera Wang, which feature a slightly deconstructed look. We think she'll be especially inspired by this asymmetrically-draped gown (1). Kate might opt for a non-white hue—too traditional!—perhaps gray with a black sash for some extra rock 'n' roll edginess? (She is marrying The Kills frontman Jamie Hince, after all.)
Kate is best known for her modern gamine look, and we think this dress by Douglas Hannant (2) totally fits her vibe—it draws inspiration from Twiggy-esque '60s mod looks, plus a supershort style would show off her famous gams.
When she co-hosted 2009's "Model as Muse" Costume Institute Gala, Moss wore a metallic minidress topped off with a matching turban, which is why we think she might gravitate towards something like this hooded Anne Bowen style (3). The dress's high hem and cape-like sleeves evoke the same fashion-forward approach to elegant dressing.
Or, like another betrothed Kate from England, Moss may want a more covered-up style, in which case we think she might find inspiration from red carpet favorite Jenny Packham. This slinky number (4) recalls the glamour of Old Hollywood (or even new Hollywood, thanks to similar styles recently seen on Angelina Jolie). We think the column cut, loose sleeves, and dramatic plunging keyhole neckline would compliment Moss's petite frame. Hey—if you've got a supermodel body, you might as well put it to good use, right?
