John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have yet again upped our #RelationshipGoals, which we didn't think was possible. Between their adorable instagrams, pregnancy announcement, jaw-dropping wedding, and Legend penning All of Me about the super model, we really didn't think they could get any cuter. Legend has proved us wrong yet again when he said that becoming a father is already inspiring him.
Legend sat down with E! News to talk about how he's prepping for fatherhood. "It's already inspired me," he said. "I've already got some ideas that have come to me since we got pregnant. Definitely the idea of being a father is exciting to me and it's inspiring some creativity in me." We cannot wait to hear what the Oscar winner comes up with.
"I don't really do New Year's resolutions. I do like, 'new albums resolutions' where I focus on what I want to do for each album cycle and what I'm trying to do creatively with each album," Legend told E!News. Unfortunately for everyone the first-time dad hasn't released any other details on his upcoming album. We can bet the songs will be filled with lots of love for his new son or daughter.
If Legend finds himself stuck with writer's block he's got a squad of famous parents to turn too. Just try and get through Kanye West's Only One without tearing up, we dare you. West dedicated the song to his daughter North. He even wrote the song through the perspective of his late mother Donda West.
Legend and Teigen announced their pregnancy in early October after the Sports Illustrated model opened up about her and Legend's fertility struggles. "John and I were having trouble," she said on the show. "We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened. But, my gosh, it's been a process," Teigen told fans and cohosts while filming her show FABLife shortly before announcing she was pregnant.
While the duo couldn't be more ready to have kids, Legend worries their dogs— Puddy, Pippa, and Penny— might have some issues adjusting. "I think some of our dogs will be jealous when we have kids. I think particularly Pippa, who's our second dog. She's a French bulldog and she's jealous when anything happens," Legend told People.
With the baby coming in 2016 the trio of pups still has a little bit of time to adjust to the idea of sharing their parents. Although there's no word on the baby's gender or due date, we're hoping they go with a "P" name to match their furry friends.
