After a nearly four-year engagement and two children, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are ready to get married.
The couple will tie the knot over July 4 weekend, according to Us Weekly. Though they initially planned to wed in Capri, Italy, where they first fell in love, Simpson and Johnson will instead marry closer to home in Santa Barbara, California.
Back in March, the duo "decided to keep it simple" and ditched their destination wedding plans after reportedly deciding that it was "too much" to ask guests to fly to out to Italy.

With the wedding date set, Simpson and Johnson can send out the wedding invitations they teased a few weeks ago. "We are very close to sending out our invites," she told USA Today at the White House Correspondents' Dinner earlier this month. "I've been very picky on how I want everything to look and feel. Eric's family alone is almost 90 people, so it'll definitely be a big event."
So what will Simpson wear to marry her former football player beau? Apparently, she'll fully embrace the colored wedding dress trend! "Jessica is having something unique made," a source tells Us. "It will be very different from the Vera Wang she wore to wed Nick Lachey [in 2002]."
Her first wedding dress was uber traditional — strapless, white, lace, and so very princess-like. We can totally see her saying "I do" in a pink dress like Jessica Biel or Kaley Cuoco's, but with a more fitted silhouette to flaunt her slimmed-down figure.
