The moment we weren't sure would actually happen has finally arrived! Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux got married last night at their Bel Air home in front of 70 family and friends after a three-year long engagement, People reports.
The intimate celebration was decorated with different-sized tables and upholstered seats around their lush backyard, and a wooden stage, according to photos posted on TMZ. There were also staffers spotted carrying in a huge wedding cake with two puppets on top (what an adorable cake topper idea!) and a pastor arriving at their mansion. Celebrity guests in attendance included close friends Lisa Kudrow, Chelsea Handler, Ellen DeGeneres, and Howard Stern.
Their big day was planned under the guise of a surprise party for Justin, whose 44th birthday is on August 10. "Jennifer and Justin have been planning an August wedding, but it was very, very top-secret," a source told Page Six of the much-anticipated nuptials. "They talked about doing it abroad, but decided on their home for maximum privacy while allowing their friends to be there."
To keep the event even more secret, TMZ reports that Aniston requested all staffers' phones be confiscated and restricted parking around the home. The now newlywed couple also built a shed to hide party supplies and covered their pool to create more walking space in the backyard.
Not much else is known about the celebration, but we'll keep our ears peeled. We can add this to the already long list of surprise celebrity weddings!
