Wedding bells are ringing loudly for country singer Jason Aldean and fiancée Brittany Kerr! The couple, who got engaged in September, celebrated their engagement party on Saturday night with plenty of music star power in tow.
The swanky affair was held at Nashville's Citizen Club, an exclusive venue for Nashville's elite, according to Us Weekly, which has photos from the event. Guests included family, friends, and fellow country stars Luke Bryan and Eric Church.
The couple reportedly kept the location secret in advance and welcomed guests with champagne. During the evening, Aldean and Kerr, who seemed to be practicing her wedding-day look in a beaded white dress, partied and enjoyed a photo booth with their guests. As for décor, they opted to make a six-tier white cake on a pedestal surrounded by candles the centerpiece; they also featured a custom logo with their initials between a pair of antlers.
Aldean and Kerr, a former American Idol contestant, are set to marry later this year. The "Burnin' It Down" singer proposed to his girlfriend of two years at the San Diego Zoo following a tumultuous courtship that began while he was still married to his ex-wife, Jessica Ussery.
Shortly before their engagement, Aldean expressed his frustration with the scandal to Billboard magazine, explaining how it affected his relationship with Kerr. "It has been two years of this s---," he said of his cheating scandal. "Get over it, already! And then when I finally do get enough of it and say something, every newspaper grabs it. And I'm not trying to get in the headlines — I'm just trying to get people to stop running their mouths."
If it's true that tough times bring couples closer together, then he and Kerr have a long future ahead!
