Teigen first announced her joyous pregnancy with a sweet black-and-white snapshot of her and Legend posted to her Instagram in October. The milestone photo shows Legend candidly touching his wife's growing baby belly with the caption, "John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant," Teigen also added, "As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family."
The expectant mom previously revealed her personal fertility struggles on her talk show, FABlife, explaining how, "Every single time I sit down for an interview with anybody...I will say, just being two years into being married, the questions just come from all over." Teigen commented on her emotional fertility battle by saying, "I will say honestly, John and I are having trouble...We would have had kids five, six years ago if it'd happened. But my gosh, it's been a process!" The mom-to-be touched on her struggles with seeing fertility doctors, dealing with the paparazzi, and the difficulties that come with constant personal questioning. "Once you open up about all of those things to other people, you start learning that a lot of people in your life are seeing these people, and they have this shame about it," Teigen added. Despite her emotional struggles Teigen sounded off with hope for a future family and her thankfulness for a strong marriage and supportive hubby.
