Tuesday night our editor in chief Julie Raimondi appeared on a segment for E! News to discuss the new "trend" of wedding dresses (and iterations of wedding dresses) being worn on the red carpet. Take a look behind the scenes below:
Clockwise from top left: The amazing folks over at Gabriella New York Bridal Salon loaned us their space for the shoot. It was a bridal dreamland with walls that were lined with dresses from designers like Douglas Hannant, Marchesa and Angel Sanchez. We accessorized one of the looks with this roll clutch by Amanda Pearl ($995, gabriellanewyork.com). Julie got playful between takes as one of our models got a quick touch up. We called this the "dirty bouquet" at the shoot because it looked slightly off-kilter but still beautiful. The bride held it wearing a bracelet by Carolee ($75, carolee.com).
Clockwise from top left: This black feather hair accessory by Sara Gabriel ($120, gabriellanewyork.com) was the perfect match for this Jenny Packham gown ($5,100, jennypackham.com). We chose a look sans-jewelry to accompany this architecturally designed Marchesa dress. The pouffy hair accessory by Amy Kuschel mimicked some of the details in the gown. We stepped up the glam (literally) on this short, Romona Keveza dress ($3,150, romonakeveza.com) by adding these gold platform heels by Aruna Seth ($735, gabriellanewyork.com). Gabriella Risatti of Gabriella New York Bridal Salon put the finishing touches on this tulle band with a silk organza flower that was worn as a veil ($321, gabriellanewyork.com).
Check back later today here on the blog for more info on the accessories that were featured in the shoot. —Cari Wolfert
