So you've always dreamed of a wedding "in a galaxy far far away." Trust us, you're not the only one. If you and/or your husband-to-be just can't stand the thought of a wedding day without even a mention of Jedis, you're in luck. There's no better time to be a Star Wars fan than right now. So if you've already got your tickets to Star Wars: The Force Awakens pre-bought, and want your wedding to be "a day long remembered," we've got you covered with easy ways to incorporate your love of Star Wars into your big day.
Princess Leia's Got Nothing on You
The first thing that comes to mind is the wedding hair. Leia, of course, is the first thought that pops up, but if you're going deeper, Padme's many braids serve up serious big day hair inspiration. If you're a die-hard fan, the Princess Leia double buns are the obvious choice. Maybe take them to a low bun for a modern take on the infamous look.
A Jedi craves not these things
From a Deathstar-shaped wedding cake to Leah and Han cake toppers, there's no shortage of ways to make the sweetest moment in your life also the coolest. Go ahead and spring for the Millennium Falcon-shaped cookies, you deserve them!
May the 4th be with you
Go ahead and set that date girl. May 4th. We don't have to tell you why it's important. If your date happens to fall on a Star Wars fan's most holy day, take full advantage of it and incorporate it into your save the date, décor (imagine your menus in bright yellow through a scrolling dark galaxy), and favors.
These are not the wedding accessories you are looking for
Is there anything sexier than this bit of dialogue?
Leia: "I love you."
Han Solo: "I know."
Without going through the whole being frozen in carbonite part, bring a bit of this epic romance into your day by inscribing the famous words on the inside of your rings. If the series is truly important to you and your significant other, you'll want a reminder that the force is strong with your love on a daily basis.
Or get your Groomsmen in on the action with Storm Trooper cufflinks or Star Wars Legos tucked into their boutonnieres. They will definitely get a kick out of it and will make for hilariously shareable photos.

Make an exit you have to
Forget the sparklers and have your family and friends hold up Lightsabers (just not the red ok? No dark side of the force here!) as you and your hubby make your exit to an epic honeymoon (we just don't recommend honeymooning on Endor).

I find your lack of the perfect first year anniversary gift disturbing
So maybe going full on with the Star Wars paraphernalia on your wedding day was too "fan-girl" for you. But don't worry, there's (new) hope. The traditional first year anniversary present, paper, is the perfect place to have a little Jedi fun. Bring your pets in on it and craft a hilariously perfect calendar that even Emperor Palpatine would keep in his office.
I have a bad feeling about this
Just promise us you won't have a Darth Vader impersonator marry you. Trust us, stranger things have happened.
Either way, the force is already strong with you.
