If there's any silver lining to the recession, it's that deals are much easier to come by these days. Case in point: The "Brides on a Budget" special now being offered by The Manor Vail Lodge in Colorado.
From May 29 to June 4, nightly rates will start at $99 for hotel rooms, and from June 5 to October 1, hotel rooms will start at $149 per night and include a daily breakfast. In addition, for bookings of 30 or more rooms for two nights, the bride and groom will receive their room at no charge (complete with champagne and strawberries) and all wedding guests will receive a welcome gift.
Wedding parties that take advantage of the special will also be among the first to experience the newly updated resort, which re-opened last November after a $100 million renovation. The lodge is located directly across from Vail Village, on the banks of Gore Creek looking out over the Gore Range, and offers several ceremony and reception spaces for up to 350 guests, including gardens, a restaurant with a large outdoor deck, and a ballroom.
