There's a little Speidi-man on the way for Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
In the latest issue of Us Weekly, the former Hills stars reveal that their first child will be a boy, news that the pair received just as they were getting ready for bed one night. "I ran into the room and said, 'It's the doctor's office!'" Montag recounted to the magazine. "The doctor said, 'It's a boy!' I started screaming."
Montag could not be more thrilled with the update. "It was in my heart to have a boy. I thought Spencer really used to want a boy, and then a few months ago we had a conversation where he said, 'Let's just make sure it's healthy. Boy or girl, I don't care,'" she said, adding, "I hope to have a little girl one day, but for my first child, I really wanted a son. I'm hoping to God that we don't just have one, but if we do, I wanted a son. I thought it'd be a more natural bond for Spencer since he and his dad are so close."
And the duo already have big plans for their new addition: Montag shared that Pratt is "excited to have a little grappler" to train jujitsu with, and that she can't wait to see her little boy's "personality and his little smile." "I'm excited to take him to Disneyland and to see if he's into dinosaurs, Mickey Mouse, or ballerinas — it can be anything. Maybe he'll be the best dancer!"
Speidi, who have been married since 2008, revealed their big baby news in April to Us Weekly. Montag is now about 17 weeks along, and her official due date is October 19. The reality stars' son already has a whole play group waiting for him: Fellow Hills alum Kristin Cavallari has three young children and Audrina Patridge gave birth to a daughter last fall. And Lauren Conrad, Montag's BFF-turned-nemesis on the show, is expecting her first child to arrive any time now.
