Our August/September 2017 cover girl Hannah Bronfman is the ultimate New York City girl. But when the founder of HBFIT, DJ, and too-cool entrepreneur recently wed her love Brendan Fallis, she ditched the city lights for the Moroccan heat. Over the course of a four-day party in Marrakech, Hannah said "I do" to her now-husband, rocked at least eight equally-chic wedding looks, and rode off into the sunset on an honest-to-goodness camel. (Could you think of a better way to end a desert destination wedding?) But before these two jetsetters boarded the plane, we had somewhat of a trail run with the couple in their home city of NYC. Here's what went down during our day of dress-up.
Hannah and Brendan did not set out to have a large wedding. "We'd had this enormous engagement party," Hannah told Brides, referring to their January 2016 fete for about 450 guests in NYC. "For our wedding, we wanted something smaller—and there was no way we could do that in New York," she explained of her and Fallis' decision to host a destination wedding.
However, a month before their nups, the now-newlyweds let us dress them up for a quick photo shoot in Manhattan. The first on the ensemble agenda? We had Hannah bop around in a formal Mikado-silk, full A-line wedding dress by Sareh Nouri (above). With a voluminous silhouette and minimalist detailing, this frock expertly blended the classic and modern for a look we love. (Hannah looks pretty smitten with it, too!)
Next up was a terrifically trendy gown by designer Mira Zwillinger (below) featuring hand-appliquéd sequins and 3D floral detailing (a major trend from the Spring 2018 bridal runways). But why should the bride get to have all the fun? Brendan also got in on the game, donning a sleek suit by Z Zegna and winged evening shirt by Pal Zileri for our photo shoot.
For her actual wedding day, this It-girl donned numerous nuptial looks, including a gold dress hand-beaded with the night sky's constellations, a chic black-and-white jumpsuit by Johanna Ortiz, and a custom Vera Wang wedding dress. But for our NYC shoot, Hannah requested "a beautiful princess dress." Well, we definitely delivered!
For one of her wedding looks, we chose a flower-embroidered tulle wedding dress by Viktor & Rolf—a total princess moment.
While our day of dress-up was a dream-come-true for any bride-to-be, Hannah's extra-chic big day ensembles were even more dreamy. Dying to see 'em? Head here to see the to-die-for photos of Hannah's cool-girl bridal ensembles and epic "I dos."
