People reports that Alamuddin and her mother were spotted flying into Milan, Italy, carrying several pieces of luggage and one very large garment box. We can only assume that large box is housing her wedding dress, which was reportedly designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.
Guests are flocking to the area, too. Last week Clooney's best man, Rande Gerber, boarded a private jet to Venice in advance of the wedding. According to the Telegraph, Brad Pitt and new wife Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon, Bono, and Andrea Bocelli will also be some of the 150 guests.
The question is, though, when exactly are these two getting married? The Daily Mail reports a formal reception will be held at the Aman Resort on the Grand Canal this Saturday, but Clooney and Alamuddin will not officially be husband and wife that evening. CBS News learned that the pair will marry Monday, September 29 between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. at the Cavalli Palace.
"A city official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, said city police requested the closure to prevent crowds from gathering and creating a safety risk," CBS reports. "The official said such closures have taken place previously for both public and private events."
Despite the seemingly unconventional order of events (not to mention the Monday wedding date), we're sure this weekend is going to be absolutely incredible. Plus, we're all for a three-day wedding celebration!
