"Originally, I wanted a smaller, more casual wedding, while Jason wanted to have a large celebration that was more formal," says Jennifer. "Eventually, we worked our way to the middle to plan a formal and fun affair." On their wedding day, the bride wore a Monique Lhuillier gown and carried a bouquet of garden roses, orchids, and freesia, while the groom sported a Ralph Lauren tuxedo. The wedding was held at Briscoe Manor, where the interfaith ceremony combined Jennifer's Catholic and Jason's Jewish traditions.
At the reception, vases full of white blooms adorned banquet tables. Guests dined on pecan-crusted chicken breast, roast beef, and truffle macaroni and cheese, all catered by Behind the Bash. Later, the newlyweds were showered with rose petals as they departed for their honeymoon. Since Jason had kept their destination—Hawaii—a secret, says Jennifer, "I didn't know where we were going till we reached our gate at the airport!"
