The (ruby and diamond) ring is on her finger; the champagne is chilled, and now it's time for a celebration — which is exactly what newly-engaged Eva Longoria is doing this week. After an exciting proposal weekend in Dubai, the actress and her new fiancé, Jose Antonio Baston, were spotted enjoying a night out in the city at Sass Café toasting to their engagement with some pals.
At their intimate soirée, friends noshed on an extensive Mediterranean-inspired menu and sipped on fancy champs galore, with the glamorous night totaling around $10,000 for the crew. "Eva seemed very happy and excited, she was taking photos and dancing," Jimmy Deparis, a photographer who was also at the restaurant, told E! News. He added that Baston, her 47-year-old fiancé, was enjoying himself, and throughout the fun-filled evening, and the couple was seen sharing adorable kisses and snapping photos with friends who were holding fireworks sparklers.
The duo made headlines on Sunday after getting engaged following the Global Gift Gala in Dubai, an event Longoria was hosting, dedicated to helping children, women, and families throughout the world using organizational outreach and celebrity involvement. The former Desperate Housewives star announced her engagement in the only way that's socially acceptable these days — on Instagram — using a photo of the pair kissing, with the caption "Ummmm so this happened... #Engaged #Dubai #Happiness." Her unique ruby and diamond sparkler was front and center in the photo, obviously.
Baston, or Pepe, as he is playfully called by his family and friends, is the president of a Latin American media company, Televisa. The two have been dating since 2013, and became engaged after a two-year long-distance courtship between Mexico and the United States (the actress splits her time in NYC and LA). Sources close to Longoria say that Pepe has indeed "swept her off her feet and [has been] courting her like a proper gentleman," People reports. "I'm excited to be with someone as kind as Pepe is," the actress shared.
We're so glad she's finally found her Prince Charming...celebrate away, lovebirds!
