For performers who audition for The Voice, the biggest dream is for the celebrity judges to swing around their chairs, officially inviting them to be a part of the singing competition. But this lucky woman got that and a marriage proposal out of the deal! How sweet is that? When country duo Jubal Lee Young and Amanda Preslar completed their blind audition on Monday night's episode of The Voice, Young got down on one knee and proposed to his singing partner — right there on stage! Surprising even the celeb judges, the out-of-the-blue "Will you marry me?" earned the pair yet another reason for a standing ovation.
After singing "Seven Bridges Road," causing both Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams to turn their red chairs, Blake Shelton asked the crooning couple if they were married. Before taking the stage, Young had planned that tonight could be the night to pop the question. "It's amazing to be here with Amanda. This is the best thing that's ever happened to me right here," he said according to Gossip Cop. "Amanda is what I've been looking for my entire life. And I'm going to lay it out there on the stage for her tonight." But it looks like it was that question from Shelton that spurred on the surprise proposal!
"Not yet," answered Preslar. "One day." And with that, Young dropped to his knee and presented his totally stunned girlfriend — who thought that choosing a celebrity coach for the show was going to be the biggest decision of the day! — with a pretty sparkler! Preslar of course happily accepted and then the now-engaged couple went on to pick Pharrell as their coach. But before the ecstatic duo left the stage, Adam Levine had a suggestion to make. "I happen to know that Blake is technically an ordained minister, so if you want to get it done..." Think we'll be seeing a wedding ceremony on The Voice finale? We can only hope!
